Fissure Sealants Dental Practice Alan Kruger

a gram of prevention is worth a kilogram of cure...

Some children have permanent molar teeth with deep fissures and grooves. These areas are difficult to clean with a toothbrush and allow decay — causing bacteria to settle there.

These areas can be sealed off with a thin flowing fissure sealant to prevent decay from actually starting there.

The treatment is absolutely pain free and recommended for children who have just got their permanent teeth (i.e. 5 -6 years old).
